Happy 4th of July!

First thing in the morning, we headed to our wards annual softball game against second ward, and I'm not for sure but I think we kicked their butts! lol if that is appropriate to say when it comes to church softball! haha Immediately following the game, was the BBQ. Which I have to say it was kinda funny, because I'm on activities committee, and I was a little excited that we weren't in charge of this "activity"! But lo and behold Ross being the only one in the Elders qorm presidency that was in town for the holiday, was put in charge of the BBQ, so there you have it, I totally expected to have to "help", but Ross shocked me! It turns out Men are fully capable of putting together these things! haha Or when they want anyway! But he did make a tiny error, in that he got Styrofoam plate, and it turns out they melt when you put a hot hamburger/hot dogs on them! And who needs silverware? haha

After that was said and done we went home to rest before the nights festivities! Filled up Braedens pool, and laid Reece down for a nap, and I was off to the store to get ingredients for some cheesecake I was going to bring to the BBQ we were going to that night. I'm mad I didn't take pictures of my attempt to be patriotic! I made 2 cheesecake pies that were topped with blueberries, and cherries. One with Cherries trimming the outside with Blue in the middle, and the opposite on the other pie. Then I made mini cheesecakes that were topped with Cherri, Blueberry and white chocolate chips, and placed on a cookie sheet, made into an American Flag! Yes I know very fancy, haha! I was pretty proud, but again, dang I should have taken pictures!

So off we were to some friends of ours, the guy actually works for Ross, and they are a great family! Anyway they had a ton of friends and family there. The kids swam, and played and we all ate our little hearts out! Rob (Ross's buddy) is a big time smoker, as in smoking food, haha! He made brisket, pork, ribs and Brats, and man they were all soooo yummy! And then we played a few volleyball games which was so fun, just wish my ankle wasn't hurting! And then the fireworks of course! They were awesome! In Moore where we live they set them off at a park, and this family lives right behind that park, so we had front row seats without the crowd from the park! It was a very fun day!

I hope you all enjoyed your Independence day! And I hope we all took a moment and remembered how lucky and grateful we all should be that we live in such an awesome country and you know who we have to thank for that.... OUR SOLDIERS, so Thank you to all those who put their lives on the line everyday! And for the families who feel the effects of that!

On the way to the softball game! Braeden on the phone with Grandma & Grandpa Roberts, and Auntie Jess. And a "Cheese" from Reece. She cracks me up!

BBQ After the softball game!

Taking a swim break before the next BBQ, and Reece playing naked before we leave.

All dressed and ready for the night, and posing for Mommy.

Before I dressed Reece, but I had to take a picture of her, look no headband, she finally has enough hair to just clip the bow in her hair, yay, I never thought this day would come! lol

They had this popcorn machine, which of course the kids just thought was the coolest thing, they all got to eat popcorn while watching FIRE WORKS!!

This is what happens when you haven't cleaned your camera lens! haha I couldn't figure out why my pics were blurry! Now you know, check your lens first! :)
