New Do

I got my hair colored, and I love it! A new look for the fall, I went a little darker, no more all blonde!

I know in this picture it doesnt really look darker, but I swear it is. :) I'm not sure what happened in this picture but I thought it looked cool, lol!

A better view of the new color

A side view to better see the color!

Ok so I'm going back and forth on cutting my hair shorter. Not sure how short, or even what " style" for that matter? But if you have a yay, or nay about the subject or any ideas, please share! :) Here is a picture of right after Ross and I started dating, this isn't particularly the hair
style I want, but I thought seeing my hair short mine inspire some ideas? :)

fun night @ enrichment!

For a mini enrichment activity, we made tutu's for our daughters, or whomever we wanted to make them for, and for what ever reason. Some girls made them for fun dress up, or for a Halloween costume. I'm going to do both, but last night I just made the dress up one, so I thought Id post some pictures, everyone's were sooo cute!!

I got home from the activity last night Reece tried it on right away and was in LOVE! Twirling around, have so much fun! I thought Oh this thing wont last a week she is going to wear it all day everyday! Well I had to fight her to take it off for bed! haha

So today... I thought she'd do the same thing, I put it on her and immediately she wanted it off!!! Man that girl can never make up her mind! So later this afternoon after nap, I mad her put it on so I could get some pics, so here they are! :) I do love it though!

Fun at the park!

We went to the park a few Saturdays ago, when we had some cooler weather move in! It was like 70, but still was really quite warm that day, with the humidity! We thought we'd take advatage, get out of the house and take the kids to the park. This park that is over by our house is very nice. There is a play ground for toddlers and bigger kids. And also there is a path that goes near a stream, so we went for a little stroll, and saw a bunch of turtles and fish. The kids had fun with that! I cant wait for the weather to cool down! And were heading to Arizona next week, so it will be a while till we feel that cool weather! Oh well! We'll have fun going out to see my family!

Dave Matthews Band

Dave Matthews Band comes to Oklahoma City! We had 4 tickets to the concert and were planning for months to go with our great friends from Dallas, Stormi and Eric. Well you know how life goes, some things ended up changing plans a bit, Eric wasnt able to come up, and of course since Ross was stuck with just Stormi and I he decided not to go either! So he offerd to stay with the kids, yes all 5 of them! With the help of Kim, Stormi's Mom of course! So here we are getting ready to leave for the concert! I was excited to see them for the 4th time! And Stormi's first time, but I know I would have enjoyed it a little more if I hadn't been drugged up and still in pain from my wisdom teeth!!! It was just over a week after I had them out! And if you read the previous post on that you know why! lol! But we had a great night anyway, went to dinner then, of course whats better than DMB!!! Well they are my favorite band!! They were great of course, but missing they're usual sax player! At the time I didn't realize he wasn't there due to medical complications from an atv accident! And then a week later heard the sad news that he had passed away! He was such a talented guy! So sad!! Hell definitely be hard to replace!

More Minnesota

So my camera died half way through the week of our vacation! And of course forgot the batterie charger. So all the pictures from the slide show in a previous post are from my Sister in law Beth. Here are some pictures that I took from the beginning of the week!

Our Trip to Minnesota

End of July we packed up and Headed to Minnesota for a camping trip on the lake with Ross's family! We were all very excited to get away, spend a week on the lake, and see Ross's fam! We got up to the lake on Saturday afternoon, and the kids were immediately in the water! Now I say camping... but there were NO tents, just campers, which I have to say was the ONLY way to go when you have little ones! Maybe when the kids are older, I wouldn't mind tents! So we shared a camper with Ross's Mom and Dad, and the other camper had Ross's Sister Beth, Her Hubby Tyler, and Ross's Brother Michael, and his girlfriend Melissa! We stayed at a campground that was right on the lake, and our site was in the front row, right off the lake! Which was very convenient and hard at times as well. The first few days we literally just lounged and swam played games, all that fun stuff you do when your camping! Campfires, smores mmmm, that was the best! And maybe 3 showers all week! haha

One night we had a major wind storm come move in. The middle of the night all of the sudden the camper started shaking like crazy! I swear I thought there was a tornado outside, that is what it felt like anyway! Ross jumped up immediately and went to the back of the camper where his parents were sleeping, and they were already up and outside trying to recover all our stuff, and the awning on the camper! When Ross's Dad opened the door the campers awning just flew right off the camper broke off and landed in a tree behind us! Luckily it did, and didn't hit another camper! I was inside praying my little heart out trying to keep my kids asleep! Braeden didn't move the whole time, I cant believe he didn't wake up! It was soooo loud in that camper! Reece woke up and I grabbed her out of her pack n play, and put her in bed with me and got her back to sleep! I'm telling you it lasted like what seemed like forever, but was maybe 30 min? But everyone was out trying to recover our stuff and fix broken things for like an hour and a half! It really was one of the scariest times ever! I'm sure it sounded a lot worse in a camper but I think the winds were up to like 60 mph! And In a camper, in the front row, where your right off the lake and nothing was there to slow those winds down, and we definitely got the brunt of that storm! It really was pretty crazy!

We had a great time one day and spent the whole day on the boat! The kids had tons of fun, especially Braeden. Now Reece had fun, but she wasn't sleeping well, well none of us were for that matter, and she was out of sorts pretty much the whole time. Everything was the end of the world! I think she threw more fits that week then Ive EVER seen! That was a little wearing on my nerves, and on top of not getting sleep, by the end of the week we were ready to be done! We really did have a great time though its hard with little ones no matter where you go, once your out of your routine its bound to happen!

Now were getting ready to head to Az. in September, and looking back at our camping trip, its stressing me out a little, And after the last few weeks Ive had im a little nervous!! haha Well Those are the sacrifices you make to see family! And they are always worth it!!

Fun Camping in Minnesota!!

Im back I think...

Ok so its been a rough last few weeks! I finally feel like I'm getting back to normal, made it to the gym today, that's a start right? So we went to Minnesota camping on the lake for a week with Ross's family at the end of July, first of August. Ross and I got home on the 3rd (without the kids) and on the 4th I went in to get my wisdom teeth out! I scheduled it purposefully while Ross's parents had the kids for a week. They asked if they could take them for a week this summer, so we just left them there after our vacation, and they were going to be there all week, and we were going to meet Ross's parents in Kansas City the following weekend to pick them up!

Well that was the plan. So those of you who have yet to get out your wisdom teeth and are wondering if you should go to a Dentist or an Oral Surgeon? Please for the love of Pete, DO NOT GO TO A DENTIST! Unless of course you want to have the most painful experience of your life! I'm telling you, I have a pretty high pain tolerance, and I was in the most pain Ive EVER had! It was the worst thing ever! My Dentist got way to ambitious! He acted like it wasn't going to be no problem at all! I had 2 teeth that were above the gums so they we fine, no problem came out super easy! But apparently the other two were impacted, which I DIDNT know! I know, how could I not know? Well I was under the impression that impacted was like way into the bone, and he made it sound like they were just under the gums! And told me that an Oral Surgeon could possibly be thousands of $'s more! So I opted to got to him, even though I really wanted to be put completely out! So when you have them out at the dentist they do NOT put you out!!!! Big mistake! So anyway the 2 other teeth were impacted, and one took him like 10 min of pulling and tugging to get out and it finally came! Meanwhile I'm praying my brains out that Heavenly Father will help him in his efforts! And that was supposed to be the harder of the 2! 3 down one to go... easy right! NO! After 30 mins of pulling and tugging, and literally almost breaking my Jaw! He had to stop and take x-rays of the tooth, yes while I'm bleeding and had just had 3 wisdom teeth pulled! He sticks that card board stuff in my mouth which is awkward to begin with! Pushes it all the way back in my mouth and I'm about to throw up! It was TERRIBLE!!! He did that 4 times until he finally got the picture he wanted. I'm convinced that they were getting ready to send me to an Oral, because he was having such a hard time getting it out. Finally goes at it again, for I don't even know how long and had to cut it into pieces to pull out one by one! And by that time I swear my medicine was wearing off, because I felt the pain of him pulling out that last tooth, and was shaking and tears streaming down my face! It was such a terrible day! Continued by 2 weeks today of EXTREME PAIN and 4 trips into the dentist following because of my pain!!! I'm finally starting to feel better, but I'm pretty sure there is some permanent damage to my jaw! Well see, I'm thinking of getting a second opinion!!!

Sorry for those of you who are afraid of the Dentist! I had to tell my Horror story! Thankfully its over! And I plan on posting some pictures of our trip to Minnesota, soon and all about our fun filled trip filled with, sleepless nights, major storm, thought we were all going to die, and Reece the read headed Monster( my new name for her) ! :) FUN FUN

6 Years!

OK so Ross and I just had our 6 year Anniversary! Crazy I cant believe it was 6, in fact it took me a minute to decide if it was our 5th or 6th! I thought surly if last year was our 5th year we would have done something fun right? No, actually I was in Seattle with my kids while Ross was here in OKC working of course! Well he did send me flowers!

So this year our Anniversary was the Sunday after I had out my wisdom teeth (which was on a Monday). And for those of you who read my previous blog, you know that a week later I was still feeling pretty terrible! Well our kids that week were in Minnesota with Ross's parents, and we were scheduled to pick them up in Kansas City and meet Ross's parents there Friday night. Well so I thought that Ross and I should celebrate before the kids get back. So that Thursday night after I had my teeth out we decided to go to dinner and a movie! Great Idea right? haha you'd think! Well so since I was still VERY swollen, and still very much in pain, I doped myself up on pain meds (which I was on anyway) and we were on our way. I thought we should go Italian since I could eat some kind of pasta or something that was soft! It was the first time since I had out my teeth that Id attempted to chew! I had soup which was VERY yummy and some ravioli, which was also so yummy! Compared to the food I had was slurping down the last 4 days, anything probably would have tasted great! Well then we were off to see the new Batman Movie. Which was very good, but a little long and I didn't realize that it was a 3 hour movie, so by the time we got home it was an hour later than when I was supposed to take my pain med. And let me tell you holy moley, that next 24 hours, no actually 48, I was in soooo much pain! I way over did it, but I guess we got to celebrate right? lol! Because I was hurting sooo much, I wasn't able to go with Ross to pick up the kids, which made me feel even more terrible!!

The funny thing was on our actually Anniversary, it was 6 in the evening before I realized it was our Anniversary. I just looked over at Ross and said, oh man its our Anniversary today! He kinda laughed and said " Happy Anniversary"! And that was that, how sad is that! Too funny! Hopefully next year will be better! Were lucky though, we get 2 to Celebrate, our actually wedding day, and our Temple Sealing day which is November 5th, and this year will be 3 years I think? So maybe we can do something then? haha
